Born a bastard to a teen mother, one girl’s path is set by the violence and chaos of her beginning. Becoming a teenage mother and bride herself, she embarks on a blind journey to forge her own legitimacy from the broken fragments of her life. My Story

I was born in California and fell in love with the written word as soon as I could read. I wrote short stories and poems as a kid and devoured books ravenously. The stories I found in books were not just a means of escape but a beacon for truth and a better life. The characters I love taught me hope, resilience, and grit.
I hope you will read Illegitimate and find these qualities inside of it as well as pieces of yourself. No matter how we begin, we can always change the outcome.
